Silly Spring Attack - Chapter 15
Tan Tu was in a daze, again.
Su Ce had no choice but to slightly increase the volume of his voice, “Tan Tu!”
“Ah?” Tan Tu snorted.
Su Ce sighed, “…Tablewares.”
Tan Tu jumped up immediately. “Ah!” He rushed into the house then came out with a stack of bowls and chopsticks.
Fortunately, as Su Ce speculated, the tribe looked primitive but not that primitive that all the food could grasped by the hand.
The bowl was made of wood. It may have been shaved with a tool. The edge of the bowl has no wooden splints. It’s not round but rather square. The chopsticks are about the length of a forearm—of course, Tan Tu’s forearm, not his. The thickness of the index finger is somewhat thick and long for Su Ce.
Tan Tu stood in front of Su Ce with two wooden bowls, hesitating, “Ah Ce, you…”
Su Ce reached over to pick it up and found out what he was thinking about.
……It was heavy.
Because of his lightness, the two wooden bowls almost made Su Ce fall. Tan Tu quickly got one back so Su Ce could stand firmly. But it still felt heavy.
Su Ce carefully looked at the bowl in both hands. It had a very thick texture, about the size of a washbasin. It should weigh about 50 kg. It should be the density of this wood itself is very high.
From Tan Tu’s point of view, Su Ce’s physical strength is worse than that of ordinary females.. For this kind of wooden bowl for males, it really doesn’t work…
Other females are slowly getting used after forming a family with males. Tan Tu was a little worried whether Su Ce could really adapt to this.
Su Ce moved the bowl to the front of the cauldron, placed it on the ground, and lifted the wooden spoon—it wasn’t too heavy to exaggerate, which gave him the wrong estimate just now. He put the spoon into the cauldron and tried to scoop out the contents.
The white ones are meat and the green ones are vegetables. Su Ce already recognized it. Only now when he look closely, he found that the pieces of meat are large in size and each piece may have four of five pounds… the spoon cannot fit.
Tan Tu hurried over and took the spoon on Su Ce’s hand from behind. Because of the disparity in height and body, it was like he was wrapping him all up, making Su Ce a little uncomfortable.
Fortunately, Tan Tu quickly backed up and gently pushed Su Ce aside. He raised the chopsticks and said, “Spoons are only used for stirring. We all use clamps.” As he said this, he inserted the chopsticks into the pot, threw a large piece of meat into the wooden bowl, spooned the soup and vegetables into it before turning back and said, “Okay,”
Su Ce paused and sat on the floor cross-legged, as Tan Tu expected. Su Ce picked up a pair of chopsticks and tried to clamp… Seriously, he’s really hungry.
Unfortunately chopsticks that doesn’t fit well doesn’t catch meat at all.
Tan Tu reacted, grabbed Su Ce’s arm and poked the meat—
“This is also good to eat.” He said, scratching his hair.
Su Ce nodded, put it to his mouth and bite…but unable to bite.
Tan Tu is now frustrated, “Isn’t it cooked before…”
Su Ce put down the meat and felt a little sorry. Tan Tu was obviously busy all afternoon today but he still couldn’t manage to eat. He could imagine the other’s disappointment.
But this isn’t the problem of the other. Su Ce himself knew because he was not a person in this world. No matter what kind of cooking method he used, his teeth were still unbearable. When the two met, they tried it but only mashed it up and could barely swallow…
Tan Tu thought about this at the same time. He grabbed the piece of meat and tore it into shreds. Then he put in the bowl. He learned what Su Ce had done that time. He put the soup into it and smashed it into paste with a stone hammer. He also carefully crushed the vegetables into the large bowl of minced meat. He held it in front of Su Ce, full of expectation, “Try it again, okay?”
Su Ce was mentally impaired.
Not because of anything else, but Tan Tu hasn’t washed his hands yet… He didn’t know if he did anything just now…
It’s because of his childhood in the orphanage and his own personality, Su Ce is a little bit of a neat freak.
Su Ce looked at Tan Tu. He thought it’s really hard to refuse such a look.
Tan Tu is a little uneasy. He tried his best to find a way but will Ah Ce be satisfied…
In the end, Su Ce still couldn’t hold Tan Tu’s eyes. He stirred a ball with chopsticks and put it in his mouth.
The unexpected taste was good.
It’s still a bit hard but much better than not being completely inaccessible at all. It can be said that because it had been crushed finely that it can be swallowed directly after containing the upper and lower jaws.
Tan Tu was relieved after seeing Su Ce swallowed the first bite. He also took two pieces and ate them while sitting next to him… It felt like a family, he thought. He couldn’t help smiling.
Su Ce swallowed slowly and gradually went to less than half of the bowl—almost like a washbasin even though it contained a lot of weight.
Tan Tu saw Su Ce’s movement stopped. He also stopped to see him, “Have some more soup, Ah Ce.” Then he added a spoonful of soup and looked at him with ingratiating smile, “A little soup is good for your health.”
Su Ce glanced at him, bowed his head to drink the soup. His stomach wasn’t that full so there was no need to refuse Tan Tu’s concern.
Looking at Su Ce’s coordinated action, Tan Tu smirked.
After half a bowl of soup was served, almost all the rest of big pot went into Tan Tu’s stomach. Tan Tu belched and turned to say, “Ah Ce, do you still want to eat? I’ll get some more fruit later. Which do you prefer?”
……But he didn’t know how many kinds of fruits are in this place.
Su Ce’s finger ran across the bridge of his nose, “Sweet is fine.”
Tan Tu nodded happily and turned to clean up the mess, but was stopped by Su Ce. “Tan Tu,”
“What?” Tan Tu is puzzled.
Su Ce walked over and said, “Leave this to me…cleaning.”
Tan Tu was surprised, “But you can’t handle this pot!”
Su Ce was silent and said, “…I mean washing dishes.”
Only then did Tan Tu understand. He laughed a few times, “Ah Ce, you should rest. Let me do it.”
Su Ce looked up at him, “Can’t we do it together?”
Tan Tu paused. Do it together…
That’s to say, Ah Ce brushes the bowl while Tan Tu washes the pot. Maybe they could talk for a while? Just thinking doing like this, what a very beautiful picture!
Ah Ce did have some good feelings for me, and indeed the best female, Tan Tu thought. He felt he was one step closer getting Ah Ce’s heart.
The two people started washing together.
Actually, bachelor’s life style isn’t good either on Earth or in this world, except for Su Ce of course.
As a man who was adopted shortly before going to school and spent most of his time living alone with his cleanliness addiction, Su Ce’s self-care ability and housework ability can be said to be quite good…but as an Earth person who has a high degree and extraordinary working ability but is useless in this strange world and felt that his existence value has been denied, he finally found out what he can do—although it’s only the simplest one, his mood got more relaxed.
Tan Tu, as a male who hasn’t formed a family with a female yet, although the room is quite tidy, in fact, the two wooden bowls he just took out are already the limit…
When Su Ce came to a small hut on the side of the wooden house, which should be called the “kitchen”, his whole body froze.
The piles, rolls, mountain bones, and used tablewares were all in black dirt at the corner. As well as oil stains on the wall and grease that could make people slip on the floor.
Su Ce had a desire to retreat for a moment but held back.
He really wants to do something in return for this Orc who cares so much about him so he can’t just retreat.
The only good thing in the “kitchen” is the wooden cabinet which contains some bottles and jars. The powder on the edges was red and green which should be similar to the ingredients. The surrounding area was separated by a piece of cloth, so the oil fumes and dust wasn’t stained. The shape wasn’t as miserable as the other parts of the room.
However, Su Ce couldn’t take care of that at the moment. He turned around and looked for Tan Tu.
Tan Tu was embarrassed. He looked at the sky, at the soles of his feet, then at Su Ce.
Su Ce sighed, “…Help me move out.”
Tan Tu was immediately full of energy, “Okay!” Even If he saw such a miserable side on Su Ce, why didn’t he feel so scared as before…
The amount of tasks is much larger than previously thought, but things should not give up halfway.
Su Ce watched Tan Tu unconsciously holding out a lot of stuff that he didn’t know what it was. But he was concerned… He wanted to help but when he saw the gray-green mold growing on the edge, he dismissed the idea.
After a while, the yard was now full of stuff. The sour smell rose up into the sky. Upon Su Ce’s request, Tan Tu quickly brought over two large buckets of water—a kind of one-man wooden barrel.
Su Ce boiled one of the buckets and put some chopsticks in it.
For a long time…
“Tan Tu, what do you usually use to remove grease when you use bowls and chopsticks?”
“There’s a kind of tree juice…”
